Barry Pisetzner has been making art for over 40 years. After first studying architecture and art at the University of Miami, he transferred to Parsons School of Design in New York, where he graduated in 1981 with a B.F.A. He began his professional career in Paris, working in the studio of the artist Ruth Francken.

Upon his return to the States, he worked in the areas of art restoration, advertising art, and set design -- all while producing his own work.  His first major show included both paintings and sculptures in the early Eighties.

In an era where artists are required to become increasingly specialized, Mr. Pisetzner's versatility is particularly refreshing.

His journey as an artist seems to know no boundaries, a joyful adventure in which the destination is unknown, and yet his "signature" is ever present to those intimately familiar with his work.

Recently retired from teaching art in Marlton, NJ,

Mr. Pisetzner produces and exhibits his art.  His themes span from social commentary to the world of the dreams.

Mr. Pisetzner makes his home now in Margate, NJ.
